The Apprentice Mate (Steersman) Upgrade from 100 ton course is intended for Steersman that already hold a 100 ton license. The course covers all of the subject areas and materials covered in 46 CFR 10.910 Apprentice Mate (Steersman) of Towing Vessels on ocean and near coastal routes, Great Lakes and inland routes and Western Rivers of the United States. Upon completion of the course the trainee will be able to perform the learning objectives in the below listed areas:
