Physical facilities on Oahu include fully air-conditioned and well
lighted classroom, computer assisted instruction, administration and
storage space. The classroom includes lecture space, computer-based
training space and work space to accommodate navigation
plotting on standard size navigation charts.
Classes held on the outer islands and other remote sites will be
held in classrooms that meet U.S. Coast Guard standards with
regard to lighting, ventilation, and number of square feet per student
and instructor.
Training aids include overhead slide projectors, 35mm projectors,
TV/VCR's and desk-top computers.
Student amenities include a drinking fountain and coffee mess, and
access to a refrigerator and microwave oven.
Restrooms are conveniently located on the same floor as the
classroom and are provided with security locks.
The Maritime License Center; and the facilities it occupies, fully
complies with all Federal, State, and City ordinances and
regulations as to fire safety, building safety, and health.
The Oahu facilities have been inspected by the U.S. Coast Guard
and have been approved for the teaching of Coast Cuard approved
courses in accordance with the code of Federal Regulations
(46 CFR 10.305).
