Our Captain's classes run mainly in the evening time and require a minimum amount of "out of class" study time (For most students about two hours per day). This gives you plenty of time to enjoy the beauty of the Islands.

Honolulu classes run from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Thursday, and from 9am to 4pm on Saturdays for a period of 5 weeks.

Outer Island Captain's classes (Maui, Hawaii, Kauai) run from 6 p.m. to 10 p.m. nightly Monday through Saturday (six nights a week), again for a period of 5 weeks.

All other classes (STCW Basic Safety, Lifeboatman, Radar, etc) run during normal daytime hours.

The above schedules give you your days and Sundays off on the Outer Islands, and Friday Saturday evenings and Sundays off on Oahu.

We have arrangements with local hostels and hotels for special rates for our students.

Hotels - Single rooms run from $72 per night on up, plus taxes.

Hostels- Shared rooms run from $23 to $27 per night plus taxes. Private rooms run from $50 to $70 per night plus taxes.
Weekly rates are available.

YMCA - No advance reservations.
Walk-in Rates:
Singe Room $43 per night with private bath.
Shared Room $35 per night.
The nearest YMCA is withing walking distance or our school in Honolulu and next to Ala Moana Shopping Center.
